Meet our founder
Meet Hugh
Hugh and the team are a blend of expert knowledge, skills and passion – and we’d like to think the ultimate formula for a great mortgage.
Hugh Mackinnon, FPC, CeMap, CeRER
Managing Director
Hugh is an independent mortgage broker, specialising in equity release. Having previously worked for the Prudential and then Commercial Union (taken over by Aviva), Hugh decided to set up Copia Financial Services in 1993, focusing on Mortgages and their associated products.
Having successfully grown over the next 9 years Copia became a limited company in 2002. While Copia Financial Services offers advice on traditional purchases, remortgages and buy to lets, it became clear that due to the greater complexities inherent with Equity Release, people needed clearer advice.
Hugh can provide face to face advice to anyone in the Warwickshire, Worcestershire, Gloucestershire & the Cotswold and can provide advice to people who reside outside these areas by individual agreement.
